Our Growing Family
(October 15, 2009)
It seems I've been too
busy to journal for awhile; but with Ethan's birth and Katie
reaching for two years old, I've been a little preoccupied.
Ethan is past the first six weeks now and is sleeping five to
eight hours. Katie is full of energy. I think she
will be a "hands on" learner. She gets her hands onto
everything now. All the changes sometimes makes me forget
about others and just focus on myself and my family. But
the Lord would always have us remember Him and others by bearing
others' burdens too.

Spring Cleaning (May 15,
2009)
Life in a trailer makes spring cleaning easier in
many ways (not much to deep clean) and harder
in other ways. Bleaching the ceiling has become a
yearly ritual in our trailer. Trailer ceilings consist
of some type of small nap carpeting. If any rain
seeps through the seams of the roof, the leakage
begins producing water stains; but thankfully
bleaching takes these stains away. Since I am
7 months and counting, Jeremy has been so good
to do the bleaching this year. He did a great job.
I'm so glad the Lord, in our inadequate state,
also cleans our heart and mind through the
Word. Just like our ceiling before, He knows that
our frame is dust, but one day we will be in His
presence never needing the chastening we needed
on earth. We will be totally free from any stains
that sin has left behind. |

Let it Snow (February 26,
2009)
Even though snow is
beautiful, I'm so glad that
we are nearing spring. The snow has melted, and
the temperatures are varying from 20's to the
50's. However, I am grateful that this is the
time of year to catch up on work done inside.
Spring cleaning is just beginning, and I have
been working on an arrangement for piano and
violin on Finale. Kate is increasing her
vocabulary with words such as Bible and Dumbo.
Sometime every word end up sounding alike, but
it has been fun to figure out what she is talking
about. Jeremy has been busy with website building
and pew repairing. And the baby is moving!

Home Again (January
26,2009)
Home is always fun to
come back to after being
gone for awhile. The only dreaded thing was
coming back to the freezing cold weather. California
temperatures hovered around the 70's and 80's for highs, while
Indianapolis was 22 degrees when we landed. Oh well, it will
soon be warm again. We are just glad to be home. We came home
and hit the ground running with doctor's visits, trailer
cleaning, and Sunday school class activities. My doctor said the
baby is growing and doing very well. I'm three months now. Seems
to be going fast this time. Our Sunday School class went
bowling, and I bowled my career high of 146 (astonishing score
for me). Of course, I crashed on the second game.
Katie is running around trying to play with everything except
her toys, I guess grown up toys are more fun. We are looking
forward to spring and our meetings ahead.

Christmas in California
(December 10, 2009)
Our Christmas vacation
started out with my sister Becky's marriage to Casey Kuhlman on
December 12th. Weddings are not getting any easier it seems, but
it turned out beautiful. We were all glad to get through the
stress of the wedding and then to jump right into Christmas with
my family. What a production! With twenty-five people over for
Christmas Eve dinner, we celebrated with lots of excitement and
fun! Now we are looking forward to being at Pacific Baptist
College next week for their opening meetings of the semester.
Jeremy and I will be teaching split sessions to the men and
ladies. I will be teaching on "Dressing by God's Design." We
will then fly home on January 17, 2009. It has been great to see
my family and to catch up with everybody.
